Now if you want a shoutbox on your WordPress blog, it's as easy as installing the AJAX Shoutbox plugin by Andrew Sutherland. Of course, there are other ways to get the job done, in particular a pile of third-party services that'll let you embed some of their JavaScript on any page, but there's nothing quite like being in charge of your own data and Sutherland's AJAX Shoutbox is pretty slick.
