This 2 n 2 premium crossover, while purely a concept, the Genus hints at the future of Hyundai's D-segment offerings, and we're hoping that the company's design language sticks to this form. Practical and image-conscious at the same time, the vehicle appears to be just as appropriate for hauling groceries as it would be for a night out on the town. It's been enjoyable and instructive to watch Korean designers (via their European design office in this case) 'find their feet,' and while the Genus isn't the most distinctive or original concept in this vein, it appears nicely done.

A 2.2 litre common-rail diesel engine mated to a 5-speed automatic puts all four wheels to work for a vehicle with both image and performance in mind.
