Zelda on the DS!! in Tetris DS

Alright, so here's a picture of the Zelda-themed level in the upcoming Tetris DS, in addition to the Mario-themed image already shown. Not sure what exactly constitutes a "theme" but it appears to be at least a background and a character image; maybe some music and sound effects will get added in too.

Wonder what the other themes are gonna be... obviously Metroid. Maybe some other classics like Ice Climber, Excitebike, or Kid Icarus?

Advent Children DVD finally coming to US

According to a post made on The Digital Bits, "Mike Stradford [an executive in Sony's DVD division] told me that Sony's working hard to get the film released on DVD here in the States by the end of 2006. Sometime "later this year" isn't terribly reassuring, the year's just started! It'll be a long wait for the fans who haven't already downloaded the title of the internet to wait several more months for a DVD release. Come on Sony! How about an official date?

The Whiskey PC

Take an industrial 3.5" SBC board (with Socket370). For the project I selected a 1.5 litre Ballantine's bottle for case. That was the proper size and shape for the task at hand. Add an Intel P3 733EB processor, a 256MB notebook RAM, a 40GB notebook HDD and finaly a 60W mini-ITX PSU. The RAM module is placed at the back side of the mobo, and a compact flash card slot is also situated there. After OS installation and stuffing components into the bottle about half an hour of running -it was a bit warm. Glued in an old VGA card cooler into the bottle neck to help the air flow out, and drilled 6 additional holes at the side panel so now the fresh air can flow, these little tweaks improved the cooling and the temperature, resulting in a silent computer that blends in any empty bottle collection.
