Texas Instruments announced that it has begun shipping its single-chip DTV solution, codenamed Hollywood, to cellphone manufacturers for inclusion in products to be released late in the year. The chip, which comes in either DTV1000 or DTV1001 flavors, supports open industry standards including DVB-H and ISDB-T, which will allow phones with these chips to watch streaming digital television, where supported.
Stumbled across this papercraft version of Katamari Damacy's indefatigable young Prince. The site is in Japanese so I'm betting it's something along the lines of:
1. Print out image 2. Cut out pieces 3. Assemble Prince
This video (courtesy of the great 4 color rebellion), an incredibly funny and clever hybrid, of Battlefield 2 and Mario Kart Double Dash, is just that: a tank race through Muashtuur City with all the Mario Kart sound effects we've come to know and love. The movie, made by Snoken Productions a few months back (yes, it's probably considered "old news" to the most avid online gamer), can be downloaded here or streamed via the adjacent links. Great work, guys!
International gadabouts Charles and Marie are at the Cologne Furniture Fair checking out the latest in modern design. One of the designers that caught my eye was the firm of Linteloo. The Upsido, shown here, is a set of wood nesting tables that transform into bookshelves. The fair features a wide variety of styles including a brilliantly clashing print sofa from Marcel Wanders.
Here's the how-to in getting your eReader to fit into your Nintendo DS. The standard GBA eReader will not fit into the Nintendo DS due to how the linkport connector is arranged. Doing this will void your DS warranty.
Taken from the article:
Needed Tools Tri-Wing driver (It is also possible to use a precision slotted driver to remove the screws) philips driver (Again, a precision slotted driver can be used here.) Some form of cutting tool. (xacto knife, rotary tool) (only if you need the eReader link port connector for the original gameboy advance.)
* First, remove the 6 Triwing screws and remove the back cover. * Now lift the eReader pcb, and remove the two philips screws holding the optical reader assembly in place. Set assembly aside. * Be careful not to lose these metal tabs. You should be able to see where these go when you lift the pcb off the eReader case. * Now unscrew the screws holding the link port connector assembly in place. If you do not need to use this eReader with your original GBA again, you can proceed to take this assembly out, and put the eReader back together from here, without this assembly. You can still link this eReader to nintendo gamecube/gba using a GBA SP. (Not certain with GBA micro, as I don't own one.) * There will be a couple of tabs you need to remove or bend down on the link port connector assembly. if you have a rotary tool with grinding attachment, or a grinder, that is the easiest way. you could also file them away. Bending them is the hardest thing to do. Also, you need to cut away some plastic around the link port connector hole to allow for the connector to flex. If you wish to test fit this into you DS, don't completely assemble the eReader, just screw in the connector, put the back on the eReader, then test fit it. Once it fits, you may proceed to reassemble the eReader.Read more..!

This is the SED demo that the Canon folks presented at CES, a six-minute Flash video of the improvements the technology brings to displats. The Canon demo, live, as well as Toshiba's were completely mind blowning; can't promise you'll feel the same as there's no way to truly capture the color, contrast, brightness, detail and fluidity of the real thing.
The PSP remained on top of the Japanese hardware sales chart, this according to research group Media Create. Nintendo plans on replenishing it's lacking DS supply by the end of the month, so it should be interesting to see how the restock affects subsequent charts.

Linksys' WAP54GP and WAP54GPE Power over Ethernet wireless network extenders
Linksys has released a pair of Power over Ethernet wireless network extenders that need only be tethered to a router with networking cables to receive both data and juice. The WAP54GP and outdoor WAP54GPE (pictured) seem like good solutions for small offices, larger buildings, or cable-less homes with dead spots. Security is solid on these devices, with WEP, WPA, and upcoming WPA2 support via a firmware upgrade, along with MAC Address Filtering. Available immediately for what Pocket-lint claims is a pretty steep $332 for the WAP54GP and $648 for the WAP54GPE, although we saw them on Newegg for $200 and $400, respectively.
