Another Flash-based puzzle game, where you direct your little dude to climbing around stuff, and shooting a little web gun to climb to other platforms. There are dozens and dozens of these platforms, never mind little critters to annoy. Nothing seems to really kill you or slow you down, and you can grab little pods and plant more creatures. This is something you really have to try to understand. It's worth a few minutes of swinging around and planting things anyway.

This short film by Ryan Wood, Fear of Girls, is a delightful portrait of two elite tabletop D&D players and their attitudes to the outside world. MMO players as well as D&D gamers may find echoes of themselves in the protagonists.
Interestingly, the discussion about this film on Slashdot instantly takes a sharp turn towards MMOs, and World of Warcraft in particular. The stereotype that all female avatars are instantly showered with gifts and propositions is still perpetuated, despite many players with female characters anecdotally refuting it. It seems to happen on occasion, but not to the extent that hearsay would have you believe.

The Symmetrix DMX-3 system is built around 500GB drives; the petabyte version includes a whopping 2,400 of them and goes for about $4 million. Of course, if your needs are more modest, you can always opt for one of EMC's "entry level" systems; a two-cabinet version that will give you a mere 480TB of storage is available for just $250,000.

Add the fact that the HDMI standards have been updated over the past year to include better PC compatibility as well as UDI, or Unified Display Interface specs and you've got DVI technology disappearing faster than SACD & DVD-Audio, as HDMI begins to take center stage. In-Stat anticipates that DVI will be extinct by 2008.
